Who knew?
I know that lame joke about “Just flew in to <insert location here> and boy are my arms tired” is totally overused, but I sort of feel it’s apropro to my situation at the moment. The boyf and I flew back to Austin Saturday evening, after finding our flight had been changed to an hour later without any notice and more than an hour delay, and I am still beat today. My cold could be attributed to a number of things: the crummy, recycled airplane air, the fact that I wasn’t completely one-hundred percent for most of the visit, or the fact that I stayed up all Friday night/Saturday morning to read Breaking Dawn.
I like to think it’s a combination of the first two … with a little of the last thrown in.
Breaking Dawn is SO GOOD YOU GUYS! Sorry for the yelling, but it is. I promise. There are certain things I didn’t like, per se, but overall I really though Stephenie Meyer wrapped up everything and gave all our favorite characters their happy endings without making anything too cheese or unrealistic. (Unrealistic remembering that we’re dealing with vampires, werewolves, imprinting, etc. of course.)
I won’t go into detail about what I liked here, because I know that some people read this that haven’t quite made it through New Moon yet. *ahem*Erica*ahem* Others I know aren’t through with BD yet, so I’ll respect their ability to contain themselves and not stay up all night to finish reading a book. I admire their restraint.
I’ll start re-reading BD again soon, to pick up anything I might have missed the first go-round.
The rest of the California vacation was really great. Some relaxing, some having fun and some shopping kept us busy right up until the end. I miss my daddy already.
