Bella Swan’s La Push hat

I found a pattern for the hat Bella wears during the trip to La Push online, at Jenny Hats, and whipped up a version.

Totally cute.

Looking at a photo of the hat from the movie, however, led me to want to change the pattern a little. So I did.

I came up with this:

Just a few changes here and there. But I wanted to post the revisions I made to the pattern in case anyone wanted to try mine out too. I added another row of vertical rib, moved the horizontal rib up and shortened the entire thing.

Sorry about the no Bits … I honestly didn’t have enough time to compile a large list of interesting things.

But, in lieu of that, I made this:

You know it’s true.

Larger version here!

And also, because I like to play with GIMP:

1024×768 wallpaper

I’m going back east for a wedding this upcoming Friday, and won’t be back until March, so Bits will be back March 6. That is, of course, if the Internets can be interesting whilst I am away. ;)

Bitsy McBitsersons

*a record screeches to a stop*

Holy crap! I love Torchwood. LOVE IT. I’m kind of bummed that Season (Series) 3 is only 5 episodes long, but really, anything with Jack, Ianto and Gwen will make me giddy.

Phew. Happy Friday everyone. I am looking forward to this weekend so very, very much.

STUFF!

Check this out: Neil Gaiman’s Batman. Can this man do anything wrong?

A really neat project, via Socks: 12:19—Document a minute of your life, and join the movement.

Yubnub! I’ve always wondered what Ewoks were saying. Those adorable, huggable little cannibals. I want to watch Battle For Endor now.

While on the topic of Star Wars: This cake is creepy. It’s kind of hilarious, but the more I look it, the more I get weirded out by the baby. I think it’s got too much hair.

Moving to a different Star:

Some of the videos in this “collection of humorously edited footage” are somewhat inappropriate … but you know I laughed.

I too was suckered into doing the “25 Things” thing that I’m sure everyone and their mothers have either done or read on facebook. It was actually pretty fun once I got started thinking about all the random things I wanted people to know about me, and reading about all my friends was a hoot. This guy doesn’t agree with me. But I really want to be friends with this person:

15. I like to tape my thumbs to my hands to see what it would be like to be a dinosaur.

I considered posting my “25 Things” on le blog, but I sort of forgot about it. It’s old news now anyway.

EDIT:

I adore this kid.

(I’m—and I’m probably effectively shooting myself in the foot by saying this—going to try to post more often than just on Fridays in the future. But we shall see. We. Shall. See.)
