Charlie Bits me! Ouch Charlie!

In honor of The Boyf’s family visiting, I’ve used one of The (eventual) SIL’s ideas for this week’s Bits title. :)

And because who doesn’t love Charlie and Harry:

(I’ve probably already posted this in Bits, but I don’t care.)

ON TO THE NEW STUFF!

I experienced my second “run in with a famous (or semi-famous) person” in Austin last night at Chuy’s. It was the lead singer of a local band called the Black and White Years. I’ve only seen them once, and I’m not a huge fan, so I’m not sure why I recognized him.

Oh, that’s right:

That ’stache is unmistakeable.

I want these Star Trek perfumes/colognes. I don’t wear much in the way of fragrance, but seriously? Pon Farr? Yes please. #amazonwishlisted

I’m not sure what to think about this rumor:

While on a short break from shooting New Moon up in Vancouver, Rob met with Friday Night Lights and Hancock director Peter Berg, who’s also set to direct another big screen adaptation of the sci-fi classic, Dune.

After the meeting it was straight to LAX where he returned to the set.

I love me some Dune, but do we really need another adaptation? The first one is a classic! And the Sci-Fi redo just let me down. The Sci-Fi’s Children of Dune, however, wasn’t too terrible (by Sci-Fi miniseries standards). And, hello James McAvoy!

Working at Threadless is the only reason I’ve ever contemplated moving to Chicago. These pictures of the “offices” are amazing.

Twitter has become the talk of my department recently. I really don’t use mine much, but it’s been a great source of information, both useful and just plain fun.

@mashable posted this earlier, which gave me a giggle:

(Click the photo for a larger version.)

ABC Family is making a 10 Things I Hate About You TV show. This makes me *frown*. The movie is a classic piece of my childhood. We shall see.

The SIL and BIL turned me on to to this gem last night:

Below is the complete email conversation that Adelaide man David Thorne claims he had with a utility company chasing payment of an overdue bill.

Dear Jane,

I do not have any money so am sending you this drawing I did of a spider instead. I value the drawing at $233.95 so trust that this settles the matter.

Regards, David.

And finally: I am a fan of fun, photo-transforming software/tools.

Tiltshiftmaker.com turns your photos into “miniatures.”

An example:

This is what it looked like outside our apartment after a hailstorm *grumble* in March:

Lovely. :/

This is what it looks like after it’s been run through the editing process:

(P.S.—There are a ton of better examples on their Web site.)

Oh, and FYI: Rumor has it that the New Moon poster will be released this weekend in cites around the country. Check your papers!
